Need to Capture or Watch HD Video on your Computer?

If you are looking to watch or capture high definition video on your computer, look no further than the Hauppauge HD-PVR.  You can also use this device as a personal video recorder (PVR).  Our main use of the HD-PVR is capturing and recording high definition video gameplay from consoles such as the PlayStation 3.  The HD-PVR is capable of capturing HD video in up to 1080i resolution.  You’ll notice in the photos above you have a component HD video input, digital audio input, and on the front an S-Video and composite video & audio input.  Output connections include component audio and video, digital audio.

The video and audio quality is superb.  You can see for yourself by watching any of the HD gameplay videos on TechMonsterz.net.  We have not fully tested the software included for Windows computers.  After initial install the software looks very user-friendly.  We mainly use this unit on our Mac Pro.  The HD-PVR does not include software for the Macintosh, but it is compatible with EyeTV 3 by Elgato.  This is a separate purchase, but if you are using a Mac it will make your life easier!
